Inside Saravela Sarasota: My First Look at a Very Different Kind of Downtown Luxury Condo
Inside Saravela Sarasota: My First Look at a Very Different Kind of Downtown Luxury Condo
Today I had the opportunity to tour the model residence at Saravela, one of Sarasota’s newest luxury condominium developments, and this one definitely takes a different approach to condo living.
Saravela is being designed as much more than simply a place to live. The concept blends a private residence, luxury resort, social club, and highly serviced second home experience into one Sarasota address.
After touring the model, what stood out to me most was the sheer number of ways the building is being designed to make ownership easier, whether you plan to live here full time, use it seasonally, or spend only part of the year in Sarasota.
Saravela is planned for 282 residences across 19 stories, with one, two, three, and four bedroom residences as well as townhomes.
There are four levels of parking with valet service, three separate amenity decks, a two story fitness experience, and an impressive collection of services designed around convenience.
Luxury Designed Around How People Actually Live
One of the things I found particularly interesting about Saravela is that the luxury is not limited to beautiful finishes.
It is really about convenience.
Residences are being offered with turnkey furniture packages and interiors designed by renowned designer Steven G.
High end appliances are included, along with thoughtfully designed interiors and in unit laundry.
For someone purchasing a second home in Sarasota, the idea of arriving at a professionally furnished and finished residence could be incredibly appealing.
Instead of spending your first several weeks shopping for furniture and coordinating deliveries, you can simply arrive and start enjoying Sarasota.
That has real value.
Amenities That Feel More Like a Resort
Saravela has an extensive amenity program spread throughout several levels of the building.
Of course, there are the luxury amenities you would expect, including resort style pools, cabanas, outdoor entertaining spaces, fitness facilities, club rooms, hot tubs, saunas, cold plunges, and beautifully designed gathering areas.
But then Saravela keeps going.
Residents will have access to amenities including a bocce ball court, putting green, golf simulator, outdoor movie lawn, grilling areas, fire pit seating, private dining spaces, yoga and fitness rooms, coworking spaces, and conference rooms.
There is also a kids club with an attendant, an arcade, duckpin bowling, a splash pad, and outdoor pool table areas.
Pet owners have been considered too, with a dog play area, indoor dog run, dog wash, and pet sitting and dog walking services available.
For those who work remotely, the resident coworking space with private offices and meeting areas could be especially useful.
A Building Designed Around Convenience
Some of the smaller details may actually be among the most important.
Saravela plans to offer a professionally staffed check in desk for owners and guests, concierge service, valet parking, optional housekeeping, laundry service, on site management, and on site maintenance.
There will also be climate controlled owner storage.
The package room includes refrigerator and freezer storage, which is a feature I think seasonal residents will appreciate much more than they might initially realize.
There are EV charging stations, a car wash area, guest parking, and smart building access throughout the property.
The building also plans to offer a private shuttle connecting residents with destinations such as downtown Sarasota, St. Armands Circle, and Lido Beach.
For beach days, chair and towel services are planned for residents as well.
It is very clear that the concept behind Saravela is not simply luxury finishes. It is about eliminating many of the little inconveniences that come with owning and maintaining a second home.
Short Term Rental Flexibility
Another feature that will certainly get the attention of second home and investment minded buyers is the flexibility surrounding short term rentals.
For someone who wants to enjoy Sarasota for part of the year while having the option to rent the residence when they are away, this could be an interesting component of the property.
As with any condominium purchase involving rentals, buyers should carefully review the condominium documents, rental guidelines, management agreements, and applicable regulations before purchasing.
That is something I would want my buyers to fully understand before making a decision.
Golf and the Sarasota Lifestyle
Saravela also incorporates access to the Prestancia lifestyle as part of its ownership experience.
For buyers coming to Sarasota for golf, beaches, boating, dining, arts, culture, and year round outdoor living, that helps extend the experience far beyond the walls of the condominium itself.
And I think that is really what Saravela is trying to create.
It is not just selling a residence.
It is selling a Sarasota lifestyle.
Family Friendly and Pet Friendly Luxury
Something else I found refreshing is how many different lifestyles the building seems designed to accommodate.
This is not a luxury condominium that appears to have been designed only for one type of buyer.
There are spaces for children.
There are extensive amenities for pets.
There are workspaces for people who work remotely.
There are gathering spaces for entertaining.
There are fitness and wellness areas.
There are quieter spaces for relaxing.
Residents may have up to two pets with no size restriction, which could make Saravela particularly appealing to buyers who have struggled to find luxury condominium communities that accommodate larger dogs.
What the HOA Includes
The current HOA estimate is approximately $1.02 per square foot per month.
According to the information I received during my visit, the association fee is designed to cover nearly everything except the electricity inside the residence.
Of course, association fees and what they include can change during the development process, so buyers should always review the most current condominium documents and budget before purchasing.
My First Impression of Saravela
What interested me most during my tour was not any single amenity.
It was the overall concept.
Saravela is attempting to combine luxury condominium living, resort style amenities, turnkey interiors, concierge level services, family amenities, pet amenities, beach access, golf, and rental flexibility into one property.
That is a pretty unusual combination in the Sarasota market.
I also like that many of the amenities seem designed to actually be used.
A coffee bar.
A market.
A coworking space.
A dog wash.
Child care.
A shuttle to the beach.
Housekeeping.
Storage.
Package refrigeration.
These are not just beautiful spaces created for a brochure. They are features that could genuinely make everyday life easier.
For a primary resident, the appeal may be the amenities and Sarasota lifestyle.
For a seasonal resident, it may be the convenience of owning a turnkey property with on site support.
For someone who spends only part of the year in Florida, the rental flexibility may become an important consideration.
And for families, pet owners, and people who work remotely, there are features here that are not always easy to find in a luxury condominium.
Is Saravela Right for You?
New construction is never one size fits all.
Floor plan, location within the building, view, monthly expenses, rental restrictions, amenities, lifestyle, and long term goals all matter.
That is why I believe buyers should look beyond the beautiful model and really understand how a particular residence will work for them.
Watch my video for a walk through of the Saravela model and a closer look at what this new Sarasota development has to offer.
If you would like current pricing, floor plans, available residences, incentives, or more information about Saravela, I would be happy to help.
I can also help you compare Saravela with other new construction and luxury condominium options throughout Sarasota and the surrounding Gulf Coast.
My job is not simply to show you a beautiful condominium.
It is to help you determine which property truly fits the way you want to live.
